As Bob Marley says, the one good thing about music is that when it hits, you feel no pain.
I, personally feel, one of the legends of music was not wrong in his statement; music undoubtedly brings peace and calm our soul.
Music hits you with powerful lyrics, strong sentiments and amazing voices.
And when any such good music hits billboard, it sets new records, becomes trending on YouTube and blows our minds away; we then, become obsessed with it – making it our ringtones, caller tunes and listening to it on repeat.
2017 was an eventful year in a lot of ways and its music was no exception. When we were already busy grooving to our old evergreen songs, new ones pitched in this year, breaking records of all times. From Shape of You, becoming one of the fastest music videos to reach 1 billion views on YouTube, to Despacito, amassing one billion views in 97 days, becoming the second-fastest video on the site to reach the milestone.
YouTube is a platform which gives space to new artists and alongside, making sure the old ones do not vanish into a clean air.
When the number of viewers watching any music video on YouTube crosses millions and billions, it goes viral, heard by the whole world.
And this year, many of the engrossing songs went viral internationally.
Now, the playlist of all my favorites of this year goes on and on, but the top 10 music videos which marked their names in 2017, goes as follows –
- Calvin Harris – This Is What You Came For (Official Video) ft. Rihanna
- Ed Sheeran – Shape of You
- Maroon 5 – Sugar
- Justin Bieber – Baby ft. Ludacris
- Dua Lipa – New Rules
- Mark Ronson – Uptown Funk ft. Bruno Mars
- Luis Fonsi – Despacito ft. Daddy Yankee
- Katy Pery – Roar
- Dj Khaled – Im the One ft. Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance the rapper, Lil Wayne

Who knows what new – our talented music composers and directors have in their musical minds for us, in upcoming future; but yes, the above 10 songs were absolutely hard to not to listen to.
