The Amber Fort,located on a high hill in the town of Amer around 11 Kms from Jaipur.It is a main tourist attraction in Jaipur.Every tourist and traveler is always keen to visit Amber fort,Jaipur on his visit to India.

250 Kms from Delhi,Jaipur is the capital city of the state of Rajasthan.Rajasthan is famous for its culture,architecture,forts,deserts and palaces.One of them is Amber Fort,Jaipur.Amber fort is famous for its hindu style architecture ,with its large rampages,series of gates and cobbled pathways.Made up of sandstone and marble it Amber fort is constructed in four levels,each with a courtyard.Its consists Diwan-I-am (Hall of public),Diwan-I-Khas (Hall of Private),Sheesh Mahal(Mirror Palace) ,Jal Mahal and Sukh Niwas,where the climate being kept cool by controlling the wind that blown over the water.Hence the Amber fort is also called the Amber Palace.The Amber palace was the home Rajput Maharajas and their families.

Initially the palace was constructed by Raja Bharmal and his successor Raja Man Singh.Some more structures was added by his successors.Today the construction we see is majorly constructed by Raja Man Singh,Jai Singh I and Jai Singh II.

There were two ways to enter the fort.One was for elephants riding and other was the walk way.The walk way was raw hilly way which wasn’t easy to go through.Now this walk way is modified and cemented stair cases have been made for ease for the travelers and visitors.Now elephant riding is preferable to enjoy the trip where you can feel the elegance of Indian culture and aura of Indian royal families.The elephant ride will give skyline view of Jaipur and offer view over the lake of Maotha.
