Some of the best place to visit in Nainital are mentioned below.

NAINI LAKE

This beautiful blue-green water of Naini Lake, surrounded by seven majestic mountains is the most appealing place to catch an eye, with some mythological facts connected with it. As it is believed that out of 64 Shakti Peeths of Sati (Devi Parvati), this is the spot where Sati’s eye fell, because of which the city got named as Nain-tal or the lake of the eye.

NANDA DEVI TEMPLE

Dedicated to goddess Sati and for believing that out of 64 Shakti Peeths her eye fell here right at this place, giving a sense of spiritual awakening to the visitors. It has got a great morality of belief and religious significance. Nanda Devi temple is situated near the lake on the top of a hill and opens in the morning at 9am.

SNOW VIEW POINT

Snow view point offers a serene view of the great Himalayan beauty to all its seekers. Situated at an altitude of 2280m it is quite easy to reach this place via a comfortable taxi ride or through an adventurous trek. For a perfect and clearer view, huge binoculars are also available to feel the liveliness of the Himalayan Beauty.

PANGOT

Pangot is a beautiful small district situated at the outer regions of Nainital and it takes about 2-3 hours to reach there via taxis which are easily available at the bus stop. To experience the amazing treks, beautiful waterfalls and an amazing camp life, it is a must place to visit Pangot. Also the beautiful Kilbury Sanctuary, which has got more than 580 recorded avian species.

NAINA PEAK

Naina Peak gives you a complete and an overwhelming view of Nainital providing you a panoramic view of the Himalayas, Nanda Devi, Naini Lake, Api and Nari. About 6km away from the hustle of the main town this beautiful place is easy to reach through taxi, trekking or by horse riding with a path passing through amazing lined up Deodar trees as well as the blooming Rhododendrons.

As this place has got a lot to offer at a low cost with people so honest and reliable. Travelling to Nainital changed my view that heaven does not only exists in Kashmir but also in other hill stations of India one of them being Nainital.

Travelling always makes you deal with your innermost fears and also provides you a way to grow through it.
