I had read one in my history textbook. We were studying about the later Vedic period I guess. Our teacher had asked me to stand up and read out the chapter.

I started reading. Then there was this part that people of those times didn’t believe in sending girls to school. I continued reading. Then this line came…

They believed that if they send their daughters to school, the girl will later become a widow.

LOL

Lol! That’s unbelievable🤣🤣 What was the title of that history book?

The myth I am going to recite is one of my favorites. It is a myth typical to Garhwali people- an ethnicity which resides in Garhwal region of Uttarakhand.

According to this myth, when sunlight and rainfall appears hand in hand, it means that two wolves are getting married.

As my dadi says-“jab dhoop aur baarish ka mel hota hai, tab siyaro ki shadi hoti hai”

Isn’t that hilarious?

JUST IMAGINE WOLVES IN SHERWANI AND LEHENGA MAKING ROUNDS AROUND HAWAN-AGNI🤣🤣

India is a country where myths are religiously followed and believed by the public.People know that there is no scientifi logic behind their belief but they do follow such myths wholeheartedly.

I have heard so many myths like:Overspilling of milk in the kitchen brings bad luck to home..This is also one of the most common myths that is shown in indian serials.
