As per my opinion , maybe It’s because of the Hype that cricket has gained in recent years and also the investors and sponsors are interested in more profit than development in other sports as result, other sports doesn’t get quality services.

Cricket is given more priority  because of the advertisements done on telivision and also the performances of the players.

Yes the statement is true that cricket is given more importance than any other game in India but that used to be in the past . But now games like kabaddi, football , badminton are also given importance that’s why leagues like ISL, Pro kabaddi and PBL are being organized in India and is being promoted by many stars.

Cricket in India is not just a sport but a religion. Cricket was nothing but a normal sport before the 1983 World Cup which India won. After that the arrival of players like Sachin Tendulkar created more hype of the sport. The INDIA vs PAKISTAN rivalry, India beating Pakistan in each and every World Cup encounter, all this had a huge impact on Indian fans. The amazing team that India had in 2000s Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, VVS Laxman, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, Zaheer Khan😍😍. Then the introduction of T20 inernationals and promotion of MS Dhoni as India’s captain, India winning the 1st edition of T20 World Cup. Then the start of IPL in 2008, then India becoming the no. 1 test team in the world. Then the 2011 World Cup and MSDs winning six and India won the WC after 28 years ❤️. Then Sachin’s retirement in 2013 one of the most emotional points in the history of Indian cricket. The beginning of Virat Kohli’s era. The 2013 Champions Trophy final win against England in England. And much more glories that I couldn’t cover. According to me other sports like badminton, football and hockey are slowly getting popular. It would take time to establish another sport in the hearts of a cricket loving nation.
