I’ll suggest Ootacamand a.k.a Ooty. It is called as the Queen of hill stations. There is this famous toy train ride which you have to book in advance which will take you from the starting of the hill to the top most part. There are a lot of coffee factories and also a wax museum. So many botanical gardens to vist and the huge spread greenery is amazing to watch. Their stepped plantation is also something to praise about.

If you are a hill station person, you must travel to the north east. Shillong, also known as the “Scotland of the East” is a serene city with a lot of picturesque locations such as the Elephant falls, Shillong peak in upper Shillong etc. You can also go to Glory’s Plaza in Police Bazaar if you want to shop. Also don’t miss the channa and candy floss in Police Bazaar. A good time to visit Shillong is in November during the Cherry Blossom Festival. Apart from being known as the Scotland of the East, it is also known as the Japanese gateway. The Cherry Blossom festival is a very interesting festival where various concerts and beauty pageants are held.

That’s so informative, thank you

I am from Uttarakhnd. So here I present you some beautiful hill stations to visit in my home state:-

  • Mussoorie– The Queen of hills is ideal summer destination to escape the insufferable heat. It offers numerous water-balls, some haunted places, hill-tops for mountaineering and what not!
  • Srinagar Garhwal– There exists a Srinagar valley in Pauri District of Uttarakhand too. Alaknanda, Ganga ‘s upper sister, is it’s full glory in Srinagar Garhwal. Numerous Hotels provide Ganga-view. Great place to visit!

Mahabaleshwar is one of the best weekend gateways from Mumbai for all season. However, it is among the best places to visit in India during summer in Maharashtra. The quaint hill-station provides relief from scorching heat and humidity in the city’s precincts.
