Breakfast is the most important component of a person’s intake throughout a day. It becomes necessary to start the day with healthy recipes in order to deal with all kinds of diseases related to bad eating habits and stress which is prevalent in this era of cut throat competition. It is very important to increase awareness about the importance of healthy breakfast as in this technology driven era, most people especially the youth tend to skip breakfast or only eat a meagre proportion. Many people feel that healthy recipes are usually tasteless, cost more and are difficult to make. However, this stereotype is easy to break and a lot of healthy food can be made using routine food items and most of them even taste better than fried and oily food items. The most preferred healthy breakfast items include smoothies, egg, oats, bread, green tea, fruits, bacon, meat, etc. A lot of tasty concoction can be created using such basic ingredients. People usually tend to eat products which seem healthy but in reality are full of preservatives like tetra packs of juices instead of fresh healthy juices, instant mix food items, flavoured milkshakes instead of smoothies, flavoured yogurt, etc. However, having a healthy breakfast does not mean it should just be full of protein but it should be balanced and should also include certain amounts of fats, vitamins, carbohydrates. The main problem lies in the fact that most people do not consider breakfast as very important and usually tend to skip it or eat less and consider dinner the most important and have a heavy dinner. A heavy dinner is the prime cause of obesity and digestion related problems. In the end, I would like to conclude by repeating a very important and famous saying which says that eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a labourer and dinner like a beggar.
