The story for which I was waiting for. Traveler/Photographer Abhinav recently visited Goa and send us his experience.Lets feel his experience in his words.
This was my second time at Goa, I have always loved being there. Goa is a lively place where one would like to go again and again. Try it.
Air Tickets to Goa are pretty cheap if booked much in advance, you can get them for as low as 1500 per person from either side of India. The season there is between Oct to Jan end.
Why Goa flourishes between Oct and Jan?
Because it’s warm even when it’s cold in most of the other parts of the country, it’s the Year End, Christmas/New Year are celebrated with utmost energy there.
Places to Visit –
Goa has abundance of places to Visit, if you are
visiting there for the first time I recommend visiting the ancient
Churches and Forts that are spread across Goa, they depict the more than 500 years old Portuguese culture that Goa is known for. Visit the tens of beaches that Goa is world known for.
Where to stay and Relax –
Some of the most happening beaches in Goa are Calangute and Baga, book a hotel which is next to the beach, sit back and relax. The Shacks – that operate in the season (Mid-October to Jan End) are the best thing in Goa, just lie down on the beach beds, soak in Sea Water, Sun and Sand. Just Heaven. Enjoy Sunset in the Arabian Sea at evening.
Best in Goa –
As per me, the Evening/Sunset walks on beaches,
specifically the approx 3-4 KM stretch of Calangute-Baga beaches, are the best experience that I have had in Goa. Walk the stretch, meet with people of different ethnicity (Mostly Russians or East Europeans), enter into Tittos lane from Baga beach, have Fish spa (a must have) and come back to hotel. Tittos lane is a happening Night Life spot, full of Night Clubs. Another must and best place to visit while in Goa is the Saturday night Flee market.
Catch a Scooter or Bike, just for 250 to 500 Rs per day, take a ride
across Goa and have fun, Goa is Mesmerizing, go there once and you go there again and again.
